January has come and gone, and now February is quickly disappearing, time for a newsletter update.

Are your greyhounds having cabin fever like mine? My greyhounds want to go for a walk, but the temperatures have polar bears looking for shelter. I let the greyhounds out in the yard, and then have to worry about the fence, which now is about the height of a baby gate, due to all the snow.

So to give everyone something to look forward to, the Board of Directors has set a picnic date, July 19, 2003. This date is tentative, only until we have verified that the pavilion will be available at Kelly Park. We will again try the dog costume contest; additional games are being discussed, so we hope to surprise and delight those who attend.

How is your greyhound's toe nails? Stop at a clinic and for a small donation, let us clip them; stopping to see the other greyhounds is a good way to keep your greyhound socialized too.
